Squarewell was an emo/hardcore band from Lousiville Kentucky that was active in the music business from 2002 to 2008. Its members were Jeff Drake, Martin Kehl, Matt Jaggers and Bryan Jones. They performed their first concert in November of 2003 and recorded three albums and a demo CD before they went their separate ways to pursue other creative projects.
Albums
Squarewell recorded four different albums; 30 different tracks from those albums are available online. The band's first album was named "Two Toy Model," and was released in January, 2004. "Synthetic Sensations" was released in May 2006 while and the band's self-titled EP was released in June 2006. "Entrements d'Hier," a collaboration with Fugo, was released in April, 2007.
Popular tracks
The three most popular tracks that the band recorded are "Hopefuls," "Undercover" and "Lift Yourself." "A Recommended Memior" is also popular, but not as much as the first three. All of these tracks come from "Two Toy Model." "Animism!," "Body" and "Chapter of Fiction" are their top three sellers; these three tracks also come from "Two Toy Model." "Did We Ever Have a Choice?" from "Entrements d'Hier" and "Did We Have a Choice" from the band's self-titled EP round out the top five bestselling tracks.
Squarewell broke up no later than 2011. The band's MySpace page has no updates since 2006, but its profile of the band states that they intend to keep the page active to give updates on the former members' new musical projects. The band's own website no longer works, linking instead to an advertising site.
