KOI Records
KOI Records is a do-it-yourself label that specializes in indie, punk, hardcore, metal and experimental music. Based in Houston, Texas and founded by two music lovers who wanted to put out collectable vinyl releases of indie bands, KOI has expanded to feature CDs and downloads. Its lineup consists of dozens of bands from 10 different countries, including Squarewell, Tattooed Mother Fuckers, HSD, Frank Sidebottom, Iron Cross, Killed by the Bull and Jim Proud with the Loud & the Damned. Many of these bands’ albums are available in special, vinyl releases in a variety of outrageous colors. Its records may sell out, but its owners are never going to do so.
